The decision is in, Ashley is headed to MICA!

Winter is ending and the spring is approaching - at least here in Texas. Ashley will be deciding on her college destination soon and the spring sports (track & baseball) are about to start. First track meet is this weekend for Wes and Paul will be in his first tournament.

Ashley, our oldest, was in the paper Sunday. No, it was not in the "local arrest" section or in conjunction with a protest. She was highlighted as a "good kid". While we are tickled/proud to see her in the paper, what was the most exciting was how she got there. The paper called the school and ask them to provide the name of a student. In a large school with hundreds of great kids, it is very exciting to have your daughter picked by a subset of the faculty as one of the exceptional.

We live in the great state of Texas. Yes, football is king. Both boys play the game and my daughter takes pictures of the games for the yearbook.

For the past 8 years or so, the kids have spent a week in Mississippi with their grandparents and cousins acquainting themselves with nature and each other. However, with Ash being in Rhode Island for most of the summer it just was not possible.
